Nigerians have expressed divergent reactions over the reports that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has picked Nyesom Wike as running mate to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the committee set up by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to pick Atiku Abubakar’s running mate settled for Wike.
Wike was floored Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta state governor, to emerge as Atiku’s running mate.
Wike won by a whopping 16-3 vote and Okowa only got 3 votes.
Reacting, many Nigerians expressed fears that Atiku and Wike may fight during meetings.
Others described the team as a ‘deadly’ squad that can dismantle APC.
