NCC’s step-by-step guide for linking mobile phone numbers to NIN:
If you have a registered NIN but forgot it, retrieve your NIN using your mobile phone by dialing *346# to obtain the number.
Select “NIN Retrieval” from the displayed options by typing ‘1’ if you are using the same phone number you enrolled with for your NIN.
Follow the on-screen steps and provide the necessary inputs.
Note that a service fee of N20 will be deducted from your phone airtime balance.
Furthermore, the four Mobile Network Operators have designated specific USSD codes for easy linkage:
For MTN Customers: Dial *785# or 785Your NIN# to link your number.
For Glo Customers: Send “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109.
For Airtel Customers: Dial 1211# to link your NIN.
For 9Mobile Customers: Dial 2008# and follow the prompts on your phone screen
