NIN-SIM: How to retrieve your barred Glo phone numbers

NCC’s step-by-step guide for linking mobile phone numbers to NIN:

1. If you have a registered NIN but forgot it, retrieve your NIN using your mobile phone by dialing *346# to obtain the number.

2. Select “NIN Retrieval” from the displayed options by typing ‘1’ if you are using the same phone number you enrolled with for your NIN.

3. Follow the on-screen steps and provide the necessary inputs.

4. Note that a service fee of N20 will be deducted from your phone airtime balance.

Furthermore, the four Mobile Network Operators have designated specific USSD codes for easy linkage:

• For MTN Customers: Dial *785# or 785Your NIN# to link your number.

• For Glo Customers: Send “UPDATENIN NIN FirstName and LastName” to 109.

• For Airtel Customers: Dial 1211# to link your NIN.

• For 9Mobile Customers: Dial 2008# and follow the prompts on your phone screen
