The House of Representatives conducted the screening and confirmation of the presidential designates for the Board and Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). This development was revealed in a joint statement by Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, Chairperson of the House Committee on NDDC, and Hon. Akin Rotimi, Jr., Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs.
The designates had the opportunity to present themselves before the House ad-hoc committee, specifically tasked with conducting the screening. During the process, Hon. Ibori-Suenu emphasized the need for the confirmed appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In her remarks, she stated, “Now, more than ever before, the NDDC needs visionary leaders with integrity to drive the discharge of the commission’s mandate, to translate to tangible impact on the lives of the people and communities in the Niger Delta.”
