According to New Telegraph: Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has emphatically said that no external forces can stop him from achieving his second term mandate come 2019 if God destined it to be so.
The Governor, who disclosed this at Government House in Makurdi, the state capital, said he is being threatened in some quarters with the issue of 2019 over allegations that he has performed abysmally low in terms of execution of projects since he became governor.
He said he has four solid years within which to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the state, and noted that the issue of 2019 now to him is rather a distraction.
Critics of the governor believes that second term bid of a governor is determined by how he performs in his first term and have rated him low in the area of projects execution.
