Nollywood actress Cindy Amadi has sadly passed away. The news of her passing was shared by the film’s producers on Thursday through a message posted on their Instagram account, @ife_movie.
Cindy Amadi had a prominent role in the film “Ife,” where she co-starred alongside Uzomaka Aniunoh from MTV Shuga. The film was directed by Nyaiedu Ikpe-Etim, the sister of Nse Ikpe-Etim.
In a heartfelt expression of grief, the movie’s official page wrote, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Cindy Amadi, who portrayed Adaora in #féthemovie.” The statement praised Cindy for her exceptional talent and dedication, noting her commitment to honing her craft and advancing her career.
Pamela Adie, a producer, also shared her condolences for the late actress on her Instagram story. She expressed regret that they couldn’t finish a sequel they had planned and promised to complete it in Cindy’s honor.
The movie “Ife” is a poignant love story between ìfé and Adaora, two Nigerian women who fall in love during a three-day encounter and must confront the challenges of being in a same-sex relationship in Nigeria.
This sad news follows the recent passing of singer Mohbad earlier in the week, adding to the somber atmosphere in the entertainment industry.
