Nollywood veteran actress, Joke Silva has been facing serious criticism and backlash for posting a video of her alongside other women at political rally in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC on her social media account.
The actress following the incessant and constant abusive comments on her post later restricted other social media users are restricted.
Below are some of the comments; “I’m really happy Joke Silva closed her comments and other Tinubu supporters are in the closet and afraid to publicly support him/APC. This means we’re getting somewhere. There is shame in supporting greed, wickedness and failure, and I’m happy they recognize this.” Dr Ann Amuta wrote on Twitter.
“Joke Silva supporting the APC (Tinubu) shouldn’t be a big deal, she’s f!ghting for her se!f-interest, & insulting her willn’t change anything; So put ur time to good use by marketing credible candidates that can help fix Nigeria. Talking is one thing, but action speaketh louder.” Daniel Regha wrote.
“Tinubu claims he is 70. But his daughter, Iyaloja, is 72. Joke Silva, Zack Orji, Femi Otedola & others can support Asiwaju. The old guards want the status quo, but youths make up 70% of Registered Voters. So 2023 is between forward ever & backward never. Am I making sense?” Another twitter user, Nefer Titi wrote.
“She’s a legend and we respect her but ain’t nobody voting someone cause joke silva said so. The streets dont fw her like that.” Domi wrote.
“Dear Joke Silva, history and posterity wouldn’t forget the position you took. You have children, they as well would have children. May the good Lord reward everyone according to their works, unto the third and fourth generations…” MLS Odogwu wrote.
