Renowned Nollywood actor and producer Chris Bassey has made a surprising career shift from the Nigerian entertainment industry to plumbing in Canada.
Bassey revealed his new profession during a live Instagram chat with Daddy Freeze, explaining that plumbing offers better pay and a more relaxed lifestyle compared to tech jobs.
Daddy Freeze inquired about Bassey’s career change, asking, “I know you as a producer and actor; what are you doing now in Canada?”
Bassey responded, “I’m into construction here.”
Surprised by the shift, Daddy Freeze questioned Bassey’s move despite his fame. Bassey explained in pidgin, “In the past seven months, even tech workers can’t afford the places I’ve visited on weekends here. I can’t speak for the UK or US.”
