North Central youths back Yahaya Bello as next APC National Chairman

As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections, the North Central Youth Council (NCYC) has made a strong appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Former Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State as the next national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement signed by the council’s Deputy National President, Comrade Franca Francis, the NCYC emphasized that Yahaya Bello is the right leader to steer the party toward electoral success.

“As we look to the future of the APC, it is time to bring in fresh perspectives and dynamic leadership,” the statement read. “The North Central Youth Council wholeheartedly supports Former Governor Yahaya Bello for the position of APC National Chairman. With his youthful energy, innovative thinking, and passion for public service, he has the potential to inspire and mobilize the party to new heights as a younger, vibrant, and strategic leader.”

The council highlighted Bello’s unique blend of experience, creativity, commitment, and loyalty to APC values as qualities that make him an ideal candidate to lead the party forward. According to the NCYC, Bello understands the needs and concerns of both the community and the nation and has a proven track record of collaborative leadership that yields visible results.

“He is a leader who encourages gender balance, having increased the number of women involved in politics. He has built leaders, while others built errand boys,” the statement added.

Under Bello’s leadership, the APC can harness the enthusiasm and idealism of younger, vibrant generations, while leveraging their skills in technology, media, and community engagement to amplify the party’s message and expand its reach.
