A notorious bandits leader, identified as ‘Yellow’ has reportedly killed a 30-year-old member, Abdullahi Iliya, over the murder of an abducted victim in Katsina state.
The slain terrorist reportedly shot and killed the victim after he refused to be abducted by the gang of terrorists who stormed his community at Faskari Local Government Area of the state last Thursday, March 3.
According to the police, a seven-member gang of terrorists stormed the community located along Dogon Awo feeder road, ordered the 30-year old victim whose name was given as Umar Abdullahi Ankalele to follow them and he refused.
The slain terrorist, Iliya, reportedly shot and killed the victim because of his refusal to heed their directive.
The gang leader reportedly shot and killed Iliya out of anger for killing the victim.
The state police spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development on Tuesday night said two suspects, namely Nasiru Mohammed, 27, and Abubakar Iliyasu, 25, both from Faskari council had been arrested in connection with the incident.
Isah said; “On March 03, 2022 at about 2.30 a.m, bandits numbering seven (7) armed with AK 47 rifles, attacked the residence of one Umar Abdullahi Ankalele, “M”, aged 30yrs along Dogon Awo feeder road, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina state and kidnapped him.
“In the process of taking him away, the victim resisted and refused to follow the kidnappers. Consequently, the kidnappers shot and killed him.
“In the course of the investigation, the duo of Nasiru Mohammed, 27 and Abubakar Iliyasu, 25, both of Faskari Local Government Area, were arrested and confessed to the commission of the crime.
