Lobi Stars U17 on Friday defeated their Plateau United counterparts 1-0 in the ongoing NPFL-U17 Youth League.
Terhinde Samson’s first-half strike secured the victory for Lobi Stars in the maiden edition of the tournament.
Earlier, Barrister Paul Edeh, the Coordinator for the North Central region of the NPFL U17 Youth League, said the objective is to nurture and develop these players for national representation at various age levels.
He said, “The idea behind this is to be able to provide for this Nation, youth footballers at the U15, U17 and U20 national teams.”
