Npower Stipend Payment and Nasims News for Npower Batch C2 Today, 24 August 2023

In the latest Npower news today, there is an update regarding NPower stipend payments for N-Power Batch C participants.

According to a report from N-Power, a National Social Investment Programme by the Federal Government of Nigeria focused on addressing youth unemployment, has taken a significant step to rectify an issue related to beneficiary statuses on its self-service portal. Previously, due to an update on the Nasims portal, certain beneficiaries were erroneously changed from “BENEFICIARIES” to “Applicants.”

As of August 18, 2023, N-Power has successfully corrected this error and restored the accurate “BENEFICIARY” status for Batch C beneficiaries within the program. This corrective action comes as a relief to those individuals whose status was mistakenly altered.

This rectification allows affected beneficiaries to access the Nasims portal and confirm their updated status. This positive change highlights the program’s dedication to promptly addressing issues and ensuring the correctness of beneficiaries’ records.

Furthermore, it was gathered that the N-Power program is entering a new phase under the leadership of Dr. Betta Edu, the newly appointed Minister of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. This fresh perspective and leadership inspire hope for the program’s revitalization and efficacy restoration. This development also raises optimism about resolving the pending 8-month stipend payments owed to beneficiaries, providing them with their rightful financial support.

During the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on August 17, 2023, positive updates were shared regarding the distribution of essential supplies like rice, grains, and fertilizer to various states. The Federal Government’s allocation of N5 billion in financial aid, along with contributions from institutions like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), received praise for their positive impact on the nation’s well-being.

Recognizing the efforts of state governments in supporting citizens, particularly the vulnerable groups, the NEC urged these states to enhance the distribution of palliative measures. This step would significantly contribute to alleviating challenges faced by the most at-risk populations in the nation.

For those seeking to verify their beneficiary or applicant status, the process is simple:

  1. Visit the N-Power Self-Service Portal at https://ssp.nasims.gov.ng and log in.
  2. In the “Your Information” section, locate your Npower Status. If it displays “Applicant,” unfortunately, you were not selected. However, if it shows “Beneficiary,” congratulations, you are among the fortunate individuals who continue to benefit from the N-Power program.

This recent correction of status underscores the program’s commitment to maintaining accurate beneficiary records and promoting transparency. With a renewed sense of purpose, N-Power aims to provide improved support and a promising future for its beneficiaries.
