A 36-year-old man, identified as Nuhu Rabiu, was on Tuesday confirmed dead in Kano State shortly after he was rescued from a well he slipped into.
Confirming the development, the Spokesman of the State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, said the victim was rescued unconscious but later died.
”Today being Tuesday 08 March 2022, our formation, received a distressed call at about 13:45 from Garba Alin reporting an incident at Hadejia Road Gunduwawa, Gezawa Local Government Area, when our men arrived the scene at about 14:10, they found, a man of about 36 years old, who fell into an open well,” he said in a terse statement.
Meanwhile, Abdullahi said the remains of the victim has been handed over to Police Constable, Abdullahi of Gezawa Police Division.
