NUJ names George Alli ‘Best Chairman of the year’

The Nigerian union of Journalist, Benue State has honoured the Caretaker Chairman of Otukpo Local Government, Rt. Hon. George Alli, with an award as “THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN OF THE YEAR, 2019, during their awards/Dinner night ceremony which held at Benue Hotel, Makurdi.

Presenting the award, Hon. Alli was described as a grassroots political, Business man and astute administrator.

According to NUJ in his citation, Hon. George Alli’s achievement include:

– Building of blocks of two primary school class rooms in two separate wards of Otukpo Local Government Council.
– Skills Acquisition and Youths Development Center.
– Building of Fire Service Station.
– Provision of security through HOMELAND DEFENCE and other relevant Security agents.
– Building of two separate Primary Healthcare Center in two separate wards in Otukpo Local Government Council, amongst others.

Other awardees include Benue State Governor, Chief. Samuel Ortom; his Nasarawa state counterpart, Engr. Abdul Sule; Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism in Benue State, Rt. Hon. Ngunam Adingi, amongst others.
