Nwafor Orizu memorial: Obi Cubana, Pete Edochie, Chiwetalu Agu, others to storm Nnewi

Popular Nigerian socialite and businessman, Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, and many Nollywood actors are billed to be in Nnewi, tomorrow for the memorial ceremony of Former Acting President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Abyssinia Akweke Nwafor Orizu.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that the event which is scheduled to start tomorrow with a thanksgiving service at St. Christopher’s Anglican Church, Ndiakwu Otolo, Nnewi, will attract top Nollywood actors and prominent dignitaries.

According to a family source, Nollywood veterans like Pete Edochie, Patience Ozokwor, Chiwetalu Agu, Zubby Michael, Chinedu Ikedieze, and Osita Iheme, are already arriving for the event.

The 23rd memorial ceremony is in commemoration of Prince Akwaeke Nwafor Orizu who was Nigeria’s second Senate President and also first Acting President of Nigeria.

During his lifetime, Nwafor Orizu was an advocate of the “horizontal”, broad system of American education as opposed to the narrow “perpendicular” British system.
