The prosecution of the Sadiq Ogwuche, implicated in the Nyanya motor park bombing on 14 April 2014, was stalled yesterday due to the absence of a prosecution witness, an operative of the Department of State Services.
Ogwuche was arraigned alongside five others, Ahmed Abubakar, Mohammed Ishaq, Yau Saidu, Anas Isa and Adamu Yusuf.
The Nyanya motor park bomb blast, in the early morning rush hour, led to the death of scores of people with several vehicles destroyed.
A senior state counsel in the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, A. Ogunsina, informed the court at the resumed hearing that the prosecution counsel will not be available in court due to an important security engagement.
Ogunsina thereafter applied for adjournment. The defence counsel, who did not object to the application, however reminded the prosecutor of a subsisting order for accelerated hearing in the case.
