Oba Abib Awobajo donates house as permanent palace

During the grand celebration of his 17th Coronation Anniversary on Friday, July 14, 2023, Kabiyesi Alayeluwa Oba Abib Amos Awobajo JP, Lagbelu II, the Limeri of Awa-Ijebu, made a remarkable announcement. He generously donated his majestic house to the town, to be established as the permanent Palace.

The crowd erupted into loud cheers and gave the Kabiyesi a standing ovation as he made this philanthropic pronouncement. The act of generosity by the King quickly became the talk of the town, and the people were full of praise for their beloved ruler, lauding his unwavering support and love for the community. Prayers for his long life and good health filled the air, as the indigenes expressed their gratitude and pledged even more support towards the town’s development.

Members of the Limeri-in-Council, the highest ruling body of Awa-Ijebu, were filled with joy and admiration for the King’s noble gesture. They showered him with praise for his exemplary deeds and the extraordinary gift to the town.

The news of Kabiyesi Oba Abib Awobajo’s donation reached even those residing in the diaspora, and they too were overwhelmed with pride and appreciation for their monarch. One resident in the Republic of Germany expressed, “Wao! This is highly commendable. May the Lord bless the Monarch.” The whole world joins in applauding him for this remarkable contribution to the Awa community.
