Obi wants to rub shoulders with Atiku, Tinubu, he’s not contesting – Reno

Reno Omokri, former presidential aide, has reacted to the decision of Peter Obi no to attend any other debate if Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar fail to show up.

There were reactions on Monday following the failure of Atiku and Tinubu to attend the Arise TV debate.

The Director General of the Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, has declared that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi will no longer attend any debate if his counterparts in other parties do not attend.
Okupe made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
Okupe also said Obi will no longer debate with surrogates or running mates and will back out of any debate even at the last minute should other presidential candidates fail to show up.
Reacting, Omokri said it is a clear indication that Obi was only in the race to rub shoulders with Atiku and Tinubu and not ready to win.

He tweeted, “When Peter Obi says he will no longer attend any debate that Waziri Atiku and Tinubu do not attend, he is inevitably saying that he is in this race only because he wants to rub shoulders with Atiku and Tinubu, not because of Nigerians. That is very reactionary!”
