Obidients: The roar of Nigerian heroes

It is anti-progressive politics, anti-development to gag OBIdients. This is the first time the younger generation is taking interest in the leadership recruitment process of their country’s spirit, body, and soul.

In 2015, majority of Nigerian electorates felt enough is enough for the PDP political class. Obviously because of the hardship brought upon Nigerians by the PDP ruling political class, that agenda a democratic revolution through the ballot and ushered in APC at the federal level. One thing that is obvious is that the PDP has not shown any serious sign of readiness to lead Nigerians even after eight years out of power, this is evidence in the money politics and repeat of the old and obviously incompetent hands.

The APC that was given the golden opportunity with all the support necessary obviously has proven to be the worst set of ruling political class. If you compared the APC ruling class behavior and use of power to that of the PDP, PDP will be described as a better option. Today, the situation is worst than what made Nigerians revolt against PDP in 2015. Consequently, anybody gaging the OBIdients is not only anti-progress but an irredeemable hypocrite.

If the APC changed PDP in 2015 because PDP failed Nigerians, now that is obvious that both PDP and APC political class have failed Nigerians, is it not rational to think of a better alternative? In the name of political and self-centered interest, you campaign for whoever you want but obviously, the OBIdients are showing a strong sense of patriotism.

What the OBIdients are saying is simple: “We will vote Mr. Peter Obi, if he fails, we will vote him out as well but we won’t vote for the political class that has failed. If the PDP and APC political class are good as the irredeemable hypocrite want us to believe, the country will be developed by now”.

In the spirit of democracy, all must be allowed to express his or her political views but the voice and actions of retrogressive must not surpassed of the progressives.

Win or lost in 2023 election, the OBIdients has already changed the political landscape of this country. That itself is an achievement and a victory for Nigerian renaissance.

OBIdients is a roar of Nigerians heroes not because one is certain that Mr Peter Obi’s victory will take Nigerians to the promise land but it will be a prove that Nigerians has taken over their country’s political leadership recruitment process. It will necessarily force the political rulling class to start respecting the masses.
