OccupyLekkiTollGate: Live updates from Lekki Toll Gate Protest

There is currently palpable tension in Lagos following the planned shutdown of Lekki Toll Gate by some angry Nigerians.

They protesters are insisting that the toll gate should remain shut until investigation in October 20, 2020 massacre is concluded.

Police had warned the youths against staging the protest but some youths are hell bent on driving home their point through a peaceful protest.

So far, over ten persons have been picked up by the police stationed at the toll gate and bundled into a black maria belonging to the Lagos State Taskforce.

– Damilare Adenola was arrested and put in a black maria van simply because he went to observe what was going on at the #Lekkitollgate #OccupyLekkiTollGate 🤮

– Popular entertainer, comedian, businessman and online media influencer, Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni has been arrested by the Nigeria Police at Lekki Toll Gate.
