A frontline contender for the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Alex Enokela Ogbe has described Tuesday’s inferno that gutted over 16 shops at the Otukpo wood Depot as a very unfortunate and heart breaking incident.
Hon. Alex who spoke through an aide said he got news of the accident and was devastated, knowing the pains an entrepreneur have to go through to stay afloat in this post-pandemic era.
He sympathized with all those who lost their sources of livelihood, promising to pay a personal visit to the wood depot and extend his little hand of fellowship to the victims, upon arrival from his business trip.
Hon. Alex Enokela Ogbe equally reiterated the need to improve the fire fighting capacity of the federal fire service in Otukpo, stressing that doing so will go a long way in protecting lives and properties and ensuring the good of humanity, which has always been his purpose in life.
Mr. Okpe Sunday, the Chairman of the affected section of the depot commended the potential federal lawmaker for sharing in their pain.
