Ado Local Government Executive Chairman, James Oche yesterday accompanied Senator representing Benue South District, Comr Abba Moro on a humanitarian visit to victims of the Ezza/Effium crisis that has rocked the council area for a while.

The Senator also visited communities wrongly accused and fearfully affected by the incitement by the Ebonyi State Government for being responsible for an attack on Ebonyi Communities on April 12.

Mr. Oche has, flowing from the humanitarian gesture of the senator, described him as a compassionate and caring leader whose commitment to the welfare of his people is unmatchable.

The Ado Capacity Chairman as better known accompanied Senator Moro to two IDP Camps in Igumale and Apa Okpozu where the Senator donated food items and assured the people of his commitment to restoring peace within their homes. He further promised to personally or through representation continue to support the people.

In Akpoge Ogbilolo, the senator resuscitated the peoples confidence that no harm was going to be befall them premised on the insistence of the Ebonyi State Government that the people of Agila were responsible for the April 12, 2021 attack on communities in Ohaukwu Local Government.

Sen. Moro said he was working closely with his Ebonyi State counterpart from the region, Sen. Sam Egwu and said plans and efforts were in top flight to ensure the retracing and rebeaconing of the boundary between Benue and Ebonyi States too.

Speaking at one of the IDPs Camp, Rev. Fr. Solomon Ujah saluted the Senator for his concern and said rather than show up only during the electioneering as was the norm, Sen. Moro has in 5 months had visited them twice, thus being the first ever elected representative to do so in such manner.

The Senator’s visit and support no doubt caused smiles on the faces of the people.
