The President and Founder of G12 foundation, Chief Godwin Oche has granted scholarship to five students studying various courses in Benin Republic.
The five students who would be schooling in Les Cours Sonou University, Contonou, are Audu Enokela Mathew, Ogwuche Michael, Amodu Emmanuel, Ikwuje Esther and Ekwo Oije.
This is in addition to the 287 students currently on his scholarship in the country.
Speaking today at Government Model College, Otukpo, venue of the Scholarship award, Oche disclosed that he decided to secure admission and grant this scholarship to these category of indigent students because of stability of education in Benin republic.
While promising to do more in terms of help to the vulnerable and the needy in the society, the founder advised members of the public to be weary of some unscrupulous people who have hacked into the G12 foundation website with the intention of fleecing unsuspecting people.
He told the people not to give anybody money with the purpose of getting favoured.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Foundation, Dr Adakole Adanu disclosed that the aim of the foundation was to assist the needy in the society.
He stated further that the foundation would also work assiduously towards stanching cultism and other other related crimes in Otukpo and it’s environs.
In their separate remarks, the First class Chief of Otukpo/ Ohimini, Chief Oche Okochi and the Paramount ruler of the Otukpo Chiefdom, Dr John Eimonye all commended the philanthropic gestures of Goodwin Oche.
The occasion was graced by the First class Chief of Otukpo/Ohimini, Chief Okochi, the Paramount ruler of the Otukpo Chiefdom, Dr John Eimonye, Dr Adakole Adanu, Iwo Adidu, Pastor Sunday Onoja, Oonye Susay Ameh, Elijah Ogbe amongst many others.
