Oche Makes History, Visits, Procures Land for Odoke Ogbolokuta Community Church to Build Father’s Residence
James Oche has paid adequate compensation to land owners to cede land to the Holy Cross Parish, Odoke Ogbolokuta in Ulayi District of Ado Local Government to build the Reverend Father’s Residence.
Oche has also made history as the first Chairman to visit the community. He is the second political leader in history to do so after His Governor Samuel Ortom who visited in 2018.
The Governor had during his visit promised to make funds available for the construction of the Reverend Father’s Residence of the Holy Cross Parish, Odoke and has since fulfilled his promise.
A challenge of inability to pay compensation to land owners to cede lands to the church became a difficult nut to crack for which the Chairman, early this week visited the community and after fruitful deliberations paid compensation to land owners who executed agreements in favour of the church to proceed with the project.
During the visit, the Chairman appreciated the people for their support and promised to liaise with the community and traditional rulers within the area so as to always be of support to them. He appreciated the Governor for the funds to build the church and said his compensation to land owners was to fast track the process initiated by the Governor. He further admonished them on the need to stay clear of crime.
Responding, Elders Ikpe Idenyi and Aleke Nwanga who spoke for the communities appreciated the Chairman’s gesture of paying the community a visit and also donating generously to the procurement of the land for the community church to build a Father’s Residence. They expressed happiness with him and pledged on behalf of the community to be always supportive of his administration’s programmes.
