Ado Local Government Executive Chairman, James Oche has described as dastardly and inhuman, the attack on Okpobula Community of Apa Ward within the local government that has led to the death of many and the destruction of properties worth millions of naira.
Mr. Oche has also called on relevant security agencies to, as a matter of urgency, proceed against the assailants, get them arrested and prosecuted in line with the Nigerian penal code law.
Information available to our source reveal that, on or about the early hours 7th of November, 2022, persons whose identity is yet to be ascertained but strongly believe to be bandits Uffiom from Ebonyi State unleashed mayhem on the community, killing indiscriminately and destroying properties. Several persons have been reported dead while others are missing.
The development has sent shivers down the spine of neighboring communities who have taken to their heels, creating an internally displaced persons scenario of hundreds of persons.
Further information available to us reveal that, by the instruction and communication of the chairman, security agencies have reported at the locus criminis and normalcy has since returned. Mr. Oche is also said to have intimated higher authorities of the development and enhanced support is anticipated in a short while.
