The Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wind has reacted to the sad incidence that have led to the death of 3 Young men in Otukpa, Ogbadigbo LGC is highly condemnable.
Obande Gideon, the president Ochetoha K’Idoma (Youth Wing) in a statement issued on Tuesday March 30th said “the occurrence depicts intolerance and hate; an attribute that is alien among us the Idoma people as these lives lost can never be recovered.
While condoling the families that lost their loved ones, Obande saluted the traditional institution under the leadership of HRH Chief Sunday Ekele for the proactive step taken to quell the further escalation of this dispute.
“We call on all the youths of Odoba and Obu-Otukpa to join hands with the traditional institution and ensure that peace returns. Life is sacred and there is totally no need to take laws into our hands and dispense jungle justice as the innocent are most times the victims of repraisal.
“We wish to call on all well meaning Sons and daughters of Idoma and Ogbadigbo to pacify the affected communities and render support in all ramification towards restoring peace to Odoba and Obu-Otukpa of Ogbadigbo LGC.
“We wish to call on the law enforcement officers to investigate and bring to book the perpetrators of these act as it will speed up the healing process and diffuse the bitterness in the heart of loved ones; this will survive eliminate vendetta.” He added.
