Mixed reactions have trailed a congratulatory message sent to the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike by Och’Idoma, Elaigwu Odogbo.
IDOMA VOICE observed that the paramount ruler had congratulated Wike, whom he once conferred the title of Okokonjo G’Idoma 1 on his appointment as ‘a super minister’.
Onuminya Samuel Odoba, Chief Palace Scribe & Media Aide had in a statement wrote, “On 9th February of this year, the Idoma nation was blessed with a son, His Royal Majesty, in his wisdom named and titled this son, The Okokonjo G’Idoma 1 (The Indestructible or Unbreakable)
Today, that son has been appointed as Minister of FCT, Abuja. A super minister! A good name attracts divine recognition and favor. This has been demonstrated here!
“Congratulations, H.E. Chief Nyesome Wike, The Okokonjo G’Idoma on your deserving appointment as Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“Idoma nation prays for divine and heavenly wisdom on you to discharge your responsibility faithfully as a federal minister. You will indeed set a pace for other ministers to follow.
‘Go and make a lasting impression and establish your legacy, Okokonjo! You deserve it.”
The statement, however, did not go down well with many Idoma who believed it was insensitive of the palace, bearing in mind that no Idoma person was deemed fit for a ministerial slot.
