Official: Ola Aina signs for Nottingham Forest

Excitement reverberates through Nottingham Forest as they announce the signing of Nigerian international Ola Aina. Completing a one-year deal with options for the future, the 26-year-old full-back becomes Forest’s first acquisition of the summer, injecting fresh talent into the club’s ranks.

Aina’s journey to Nottingham Forest has been an interesting one. Having departed from Torino, where he spent nearly five years and made 102 appearances in Serie A, he eagerly sought to return to English soil and embrace the challenges of the Premier League once more.

Speaking about his move, Aina expressed his enthusiasm for Forest’s exciting project and team, as well as his admiration for the manager’s vision. The club’s reputation as a family-oriented institution and the prospect of joining a great bunch of players filled him with anticipation for the season ahead.

With an eye on the prestigious Premier League, Aina spoke of his desire to test himself in the best league in the world, a testament to his unyielding commitment to personal growth and development as a footballer. Additionally, the prospect of reuniting with familiar faces within the squad only heightened his eagerness to integrate seamlessly into the team.

Forest’s head coach, Steve Cooper, was delighted to have Aina join the squad, acknowledging his versatility and invaluable experience in both the Premier League and Serie A. Cooper praised Aina’s abilities as a player and an athlete, highlighting his potential to strengthen the team significantly.

Ross Wilson, Chief Football Officer, also welcomed Aina with open arms, noting the Nigerian’s genuine excitement to be part of Forest’s journey and to return to the Premier League after a successful stint in Serie A.
