Ogenyi Onazi joins Lithuanian club FK Babrungas

Former Ogenyi Onazi, a midfielder for the Nigeria national football team, has completed a move to Lithuanian second-tier side FK Babrungas.

The 33-year-old is returning to Lithuania after previously featuring for FK Žalgiris earlier in his career.

Before sealing the switch, Onazi played for Italian SSD Città di Acireale in the country’s Serie D.

The defensive midfielder began his professional journey in Italy with SS Lazio.

During his career, he also had spells in Turkey with Trabzonspor and Denizlispor.

Onazi, who was part of Nigeria’s victorious squad at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, has additionally played in Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United States.
