Okokolo vs Abugbe crisis: What Senator Abba Moro said during his visit to Agatu on Friday [PHOTOS]

The Senator representing Benue South senatorial district, Comrade Abba Moro, on Friday visited Agatu LGA of the state to get first hand information on the recent crisis that broke out in the area between Okokolo and Abugbe community.

IDOMA VOICE reports that several persons were killed and many valuables destroyed in the early hours of Sunday in a communal clash between the two communities.

Senator, who personally visited the communities on Friday, called for peace among the warring brothers.

He urged the people to sheathe their swords and embrace dialogue to settle their differences.

The Senator reminded the people that a man cannot use hot water to quench his thirst, stressing that whatever their grievances are, they can be resolved amicably through dialogue.

“I was in Agatu today to get first hand information on the crisis that erupted between Okokolo and Abugbe which resulted in needless deaths.

“We will do whatever is necessary to make sure this never happens again.”
