Okonjo-Iweala’s son marries in Germany [VIDEO]

A heartwarming video capturing the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, showcasing her dance skills at the wedding of her first son, Dr. Uzo Iweala, has recently surfaced. The joyous event took place on a lovely Sunday in Heidelberg, Germany, where Dr. Iweala exchanged vows with his partner, Lotte Elsa.

In the video, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala can be seen grooving to the beats of Nigerian music alongside her new daughter-in-law. The celebration was a delightful display of cultural and familial traditions.

Aunt to the groom, Njide Udochi, thoughtfully shared videos from the wedding on her Facebook page, underlining the significance of upholding traditional marriage rites as Nigerians and Ndigbo. She expressed, “It takes a village, and Uzo and Lotte had their village there to honor and celebrate them.” The event resonated with the spirit of love, tradition, and community, with guests arriving from around the world to join in the festivities.

Njide Udochi further extended her congratulations to the entire Iweala family and Ndi Umuda Isingwu, as well as the Goos family of Heidelberg, Germany. The newlyweds, Uzodinma Iweala and Lotte Elsa, were also showered with well-wishes, with hopes for their continued happiness together.
