A former Caretaker Chairman of Okpokwu Council,Barr. Christopher Iduh , has declared intention to run for the Okpokwu State Constituency seat in the 2019 general elections.
Barr.Iduh who is contesting on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) , said that his intention to contest the Okpokwu state constituency seat was to unlock many opportunities for the benefit of the people of his constituency.
He announced his intention on Monday at a meeting of the PDP , Ekeh Ward at Ajide Ekeh Edumoga of Okpokwu council .
Barr Iduh who is the current Legal Adviser of the Okpokwu chapter of the PDP said he
has acquired the requisite experience to represent the people in the Benue State House Assembly.
He said with his knowledge about the plethora of problems bedevilling the council he will ensure formidable legislation for the transformation of Okpokwu through an inclusive and people oriented representation.
Barr Iduh who also unveiled his Seven -point agenda for the state constituency assured that he would run a people-centred representation and will create special recognition for women and youth through empowerment and entrepreneurship.
He pledged to ensure a holistic legislative agenda that will harness resources to address critical issues of growth, development and peace in Okpokwu council.
In their remarks, critical stakeholders and members of the PDP pledged their support for Barr Iduh because of his past antecedents and commitment to the party ,growth ,peace and development in Okpokwu community.
The epoch occasion was attended by all PDP officials from Eke, the six ,PDP ward Chairmen from Edumoga district, elders, women and youth groups from across Okpokwu council.
