There was massive celebration in Okpokwu local government area of Benue state on Saturday 14th, September, 2019 as His Exellency the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr. Benson Abounu graced the occasion of the ground finale of the Peace and reconciliation between Ollo community of Edumoga and Okpoga .
The event which took place at St. Peter Claver parish Ai-Abba Olanyega also had in attendance, the representative of the Benue Commissioner of police, the security adviser to the Governor Samuel Ortom, the Commandant of the 72 battalion Makurdi, Rt. Hon. Solomon Onah (General manager Benue State environmental and sanitation agency), Hon. Francis Agbo Otta member representing Okpokwu, Ado and Ogbadibo federal constituency, Hon. Anthony Agom member representing Okpokwu state constituency, president general Okpoga development council, president general Edema, National President Ollo community, the 1st class chief of Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo, 3rd class chiefs of Edumoga and okpoga, the Ede of Edumoga, the two war lords Matthew of Ollo and Chesco of Okpoga, and representatives of the 12 council wards in Okpokwu, all the ward and clan heads in the local government and also the Christian association of Nigeria Zone C Chapter, Rev. Fr. Odindin and the host hon. Amina Audu the caretaker chairman of Okpokwu local government area and others.
The event was calculated to be a success as the two war lords begged for forgiveness and promised to live a positive life hence forth (Matthew and Chesco)
The duos came out with all their boys who expressed happiness with the development.
They were charged by the deputy governor to enhance that peace take over the entire local government area.
