Ololade Ogungbenro: Wema Bank releases statement on alleged attitude of HRM
Wema Bank has released a statement on the allegation of abuse leveled against its Chief Human Resources Officer, Ololade Ogungbenro.
Wema Bank was dragged to mud on Monday over its refusal to take action against Ogungbenro who is fond of torturing fellow staff verbally.
Sources say series of petitions had been written to the management of the financial institution over Ogungbenro’s nasty attitude towards fellow staff but the management continues to look the other way.
“Seems they are afraid of her. Nobody dare question her decision,” an insider said.
Several sources have claimed that the lady is rude and abuses fellow staff at will. Her attitude, sources said had led to the exit of many staff from the company.
The woman had reportedly claimed no one can touch her.
Consequently, social media users have called on Wema Bank to fire Ogungbenro without delay.
Rather than giving detailed information on steps taken to address the issue, Wema Bank rather in a statement resorted to self-praise.
The statement reminded Nigerians that Wema Bank has operated for 75 years and love its staff.
The statement signed by Mrs. Funmilayo Falola (Head Brand and Marketing Communications Wema Bank) claimed “equity, fairness and mutual respect are the gold standards of the bank.”
Meanwhile, the statement rather irked some Nigerians who insisted that Ogungbenro should not be allowed to continue as the HRM of the company.
