The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Mr. Ajagba Joseph, for allegedly attempting to murder a man he discovered at his concubine’s house.
This was disclosed in a statement posted by the police on X.com on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on August 23 when Joseph visited his lover’s home and found another man, who was also reportedly in a relationship with the woman.
Enraged by the encounter, Joseph allegedly drew a single-barrel gun and shot the man.
The victim survived and is currently recovering from his injuries.
The police statement read: “Attempted Murder – This married man, Mr. Ajagba Joseph, 43, on August 23, went to his concubine’s house and found a rival. In a fit of anger, he shot the other man with a single-barrel gun. The victim is recuperating, the suspect is in custody, and he will soon be charged to court.”
It further clarified: “The man met another lover (a man) in the woman’s house.”
