One dies as learner loses control on Osun road

There was tragedy at Ibodi junction along Ilesa-Ife road as a yet to be identified man was reported dead in a lone accident that occurred Friday in Osun state.

The driver of the car was said to be a learner as the ‘L’ learning sign was found on the back of the car.

It was gathered that four people were in the Toyota Camry car with registration number EKY 730 AT that rammed into the bush.

The accident that occurred around 10:30am was said to be caused by speed limit violation.

The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the accident to newsmen, saying the victims and corpse were taken to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesha, by the Nigeria Police, Osu Division.

She further confirmed that the car ran into a tree, adding that a sack with food items was discovered in the car.
