Manchester City head coach, Pep Guardiola has praised Bernardo Silva for his instrumental performance in their 3-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

Silva played a crucial role in setting up Erling Haaland for City’s second goal at Old Trafford.

After the game, Guardiola commended the Portuguese international’s adaptability, football intelligence, and humble off-pitch lifestyle.

“He wears no earrings or tattoos; a normal car… incredible player for us.

“He can play as False nine, he’s so intelligent and everybody loves him.

“One of the best players I’ve seen in my life. He’s one of the best, for his intensity, clever and what a good guy he is,” Guardiola said.

Silva was on the brink of departing City, with Paris Saint-Germain expressing interest in him.

Guardiola successfully persuaded the player to remain with the team, and he has since signed a new contract with the reigning Premier League champions.
