Oodua Nation ‘Soldiers’ storm Oyo House of Assembly, hoist Flag

On Saturday, a group of masked individuals suspected to be Yoruba Nation agitators stormed the Oyo Government Secretariat and raised a flag.

Reports indicated that these armed individuals were strategically positioned within the Secretariat premises. Some were seen guarding the entrance to the Governor’s office, while others stood watch at the House of Assembly Gate. More were observed at the main entrance.

The presence of these masked individuals caused panic among the area’s residents, with on-duty security personnel working to manage the situation.

As of the time of this report, the identity of these masked individuals remains unknown.

In response, officers from the Police Command and other anti-crime agencies arrived at the Secretariat in several patrol vans. Additionally, operatives of the Oyo security network known as Amotekun were reported to have reached the gate.

It has been confirmed that the security personnel have apprehended some of the individuals involved.
