It was Friday evening. The caller was Mama Ochanya. The voice was firm, apparently holding down grief by the jugulars. ‘My daughter, they have shifted the case again, the judge in Makurdi still didn’t come today, even with the presence of supporters from far and wide at the court, the judge didn’t show face. That my daughter suffered too much, let’s help get justice for her.’
‘It is well, Mama Ochanya.
It is well…okwiye.. okwiye nehi..:
I reminded her the culprits aren’t sleeping either, still bent on pulling their powerful strings, still manipulating, even now, they are trying to sell the limp narrative via their e-rodents that alas, Ochanya ”actually died of malaria!” Even with all the medical evidence!’
Mama, don’t worry, God pass them. Ochanya’s strong spirit will also fight them, they will be confused, their evil enterprise shall fail them.
Dear friends, whatever you do this holiday, don’t forget we have a duty to realise #JusticeForOchanya .
Great week ahead!
