Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has bagged Icon of Excellence and Responsive Governance in Nigeria Award presented to him by the Women Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, WOWICAN.
The award was presented to the Governor recently during a meeting of the state chapters of WOWICAN from the 19 Northern states, held in Jos, Plateau State.
Benue State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Akpen Leva, who represented the Governor, presented the award to him today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi.
The CAN Chairman told the Governor that the women acknowledged his courageous disposition to leadership in Nigeria with a pledge to continue to pray for the Governor for God’s protection and direction.
Governor Ortom appreciated the recognition by WOWICAN and prayed God to bless them and also give him the enablement to continue to do more for humanity in general, Northern states and Benue in particular.
