Governor Samuel Ortom today decorated his newly promoted Aid-De-Camp, ADC, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Julius Nyipila and his Orderly, Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Jeremiah Avungu.
The Governor also decorated Aga Emmanuel, Dooga Ivorashe, Amos Gbakorun, Yakubu Aku as ASPs as well as Mimidoo Kondum as Assistant Superintendent of Corps, ASC2, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, attached to Government House Makurdi.
Governor Ortom told the decorated officers that promotion comes from God, stressing that they were elevated at a time Nigerians were looking up to security agents for protection.
He charged them to uphold their professional ethics and also look up to God in the discharge of their duties, pointing out that they should remain selfless and committed at all times.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers of the Department of Security Services, DSS, Jocob John and DSP Julius Nyipila of the Nigeria Police, all pledged to redouble their efforts in their service to the nation.
Governor Ortom was assisted in the decoration by the State Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu and the State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mukardas.
