The National Vice Chairman, North-Central, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Suleiman Wambai, has said that Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state is not leaving the party.
Wambai stated this on Wednesday, in a chat with newsmen in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
He noted that Ortom had not officially written to the party about his intention to leave and assured that the APC’s hierarchy was working to resolve any issue.
“We saw reports in various media houses that the governor said he was given a red card, so we have already taken a proactive steps.
“Our national chairman had already invited the governor and other interested parties from Benue state with the aim of resolving the matter,” Wambai said.
