Ortom wins 2021 governor of the year award on security

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has won the 2021 Governor of the Year Award on Security.

The award was presented to him on Saturday, 5th March, 2022 by the management of Daily Independent Newspaper at an elaborate ceremony at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award on behalf of his principal, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Benue State, Michael Inalegwu thanked the organisers for finding the governor out of the 36 governors worthy of the award, assuring them that it would spur him to do more.

Apart from other sectors, Gov Ortom has won several awards in the area of security, awards which were attributed to his efforts in restoring long lasting peace to Benue state and it’s entire valley.
