Ortom’s Commissioner flees as police go after him over murder of Aondosoo Tondo

In the pursuit of justice and in an attempt to bring to book those who murdered a lecturer of the University of Mkar and an aspirant for the Chairmanship of Buruku Local Government, Mr. Wilfred Aondosoo Tondo on the 11th of August this year, the Magistrate Court I in Makurdi has ordered the accused persons to be remanded in prison custody till 23rd January, 2017.

This followed after the police had arraigned the suspects before the Magistrate today. The suspects include the Sole Administrator of Buruku Local Government, Hon. David Yimam, Hon. Akungwa the Personal Assistant to the Benue State Commissioner for Arts and Culture Sekav Iortyom and one Emmanuel Nyajo.

The Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Mr. Iortyom himself has been fingered over the crime and the police are resolute to arraign him once he is arrested.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bashir Dabu Makama who has a track record of achievements in his struggle against insecurity has summoned uncommon courage towards sanitizing the state and with this move, it is evident that, even the powers that be will be confronted when need arises.
