Oshoala scores brace as Barcelona thrash Granada 6-1

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, showcased her prowess by scoring a pair of goals as Barcelona dominated Granada 6-1 in the Spanish women’s league on Saturday.

Oshoala’s first goal came in the 80th minute, extending Barcelona’s lead to 5-0. A mere two minutes later, she netted her second goal, marking Barcelona’s sixth of the match.

Oshoala had gone three consecutive games without finding the back of the net for Barcelona. However, her impressive performance against Granada brought her goal tally to three in five appearances for the reigning league champions.

Barcelona has had an impeccable start to the season, winning all six of their league games without a single defeat. They currently top the league table with 18 points, maintaining a three-point lead over Real Madrid.

Last season, Oshoala and her Barcelona teammates clinched both the league title and the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
