The Napoli hitman could be playing in the English Premier League next season after reports say he agreed personal terms with Newcastle United.
The Nigerian international is one of the most sought-after strikers following his impressive form for Serie A side Napoli this season
The youngster has reportedly agreed to a deal worth €4.5million with the English club, as Napoli continues negotiations with Magpies.
The Nation are reporting as per Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport that Osimhen has agreed to personal terms with the Magpies during the summer transfer window. If the deal pulls through, the 23-year-old will further cement his status as the highest-earning Nigerian player in European football.
However, reports have it that Newcastle are still having negotiations with the Italian side Napoli over the player’s transfer fee which is said to be around €100 million.
The report further stated that Napoli are asking for €100 million because 30% of whatever figure realised over Osimhen’s transfer will go to his former club Lille.
Recall that La Gazzetta dello Sport had reported in April that the striker was open to joining the Arsenal, but only if they qualified for the Champions League. However, the Premier League side is now two points behind Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in fourth place with just one game remaining.
