Muritala Ibrahim has been taken into custody by the Osun Amotekun Corps on charges of alleged sexual assault.
Reports indicate that 35-year-old Ibrahim is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl, whose identity has been withheld, in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
Ibrahim was apprehended following a complaint filed by the girl’s mother at the Amotekun Boripe Command.
In a statement on Monday, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, confirmed the arrest. He disclosed that Ibrahim is accused of luring the girl into his home and forcibly assaulting her.
Omoyele also noted that Ibrahim allegedly shaved part of the girl’s hair and provided her with a different outfit.
“Upon preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to perpetrating the act by defiling the young girl.
“He has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution,” Omoyele stated.
