Immediate past lawmaker representing Ado, Okpowku and Ogbadibo federal constituency, Francis Ottah Agbo has congratulated Francis Ada Abah on his recent appointment by President Bola Tinubu.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Tinubu recently appointed Abah as his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties.
Reacting, Ottah described Abah as resourceful young man who will do wonders in his new office,
He wrote,
Big Big Congratulations to a resourceful young man, Hon. Francis Ada Abah, jnr on his appointment as Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Special Duties.
The newest appointee is a son of the late Hon. Francis Abah who once represented the now extinct Okpokwu West Federal Constituency as Honourable Member, House of Representatives. Though his stay in the parliament was short but he was able to distinguish himself as a lawmaker per excellence before the collapse of the second republic in December, 1983, thus giving credence to the saying that it is not how long but how well.
Francis Abah hails from Eke Ajide (Edumoga District) in Okpokwu LGA, Benue State. I am a family friend of the Abahs and we have every reason to thank President Tinubu choosing one of us, as well as, celebrate this elevation.
In 2020, Eke Ward, Otukpa and Owukpa districts in Ogbadibo and parts of Ado LGA, suffered a harrowing natural disaster occasioned by thunderstorms and erosion. As the MHR at the time, I visited all the affected areas including Eke Ajide where I took time off to visit the tomb of the unassuming MHR and prayed God to raise his offsprings to keep the good name of the late parliamentarian on the front burner of Nigeria’s politics.
So, after the announcement of Francis Abah’s appointment, one of the earliest person to remind me of the prayers I offered at the tomb was my leader, Hon. Maurice Anawo who joined me to pray on that fateful day in Eke Ajide.
Francis Abah, jnr, for you, as Chinua Achebe would write, it is yet morning on creation day! I love good news. My people, celebrate this great and resourceful youth that will make humanity proud soon.
