Otukpa mysterious deaths: ‘We will get to the root of the matter’- Benue Govt

The Benue State Government has stated that it would get to the root of the mysterious deaths at Ipeilo village in Otukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of the state.

IDOMA VOICE reports that no fewer than 19 persons have mysteriously died in the community within the last two weeks.

The supervising commissioner for health, Godwin Oyinowa, during a visit to the community, said the ministry would unravel the mysterious deaths.

He said, “On the spot visit to the clan head of Epeilo, Otukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State as part of the ongoing investigation to unravel the mysterious deaths of our people due to the yet to be determined disease ravaging the community with members of the Ogbadibo Local government Health committee.

Also a tete a tete, over the issue, with Prof Steve Abah a consultant Epidemiologist and Dr Ijabo of the Ministry of Health and Human Services. We will get to the root of the matter by God’s grace.”
