5-year-old boy falls into uncovered sewage tank in Idoma community, dies

A-5-year old boy reportedly fell into a yet to be completed sewage tank around Igbanonmaje area of Otukpo local government on Saturday afternoon.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the father of the deceased went looking for his son after coming back from his shop not knowing what has happened to him already. He reported his son missing to the local vigilante group in the area.

“We all thought he was at our neighbors house earlier but we became curious after discovering that he was not there hours later when he was supposed to be at home.

 

“We searched everywhere for but later found his dead remains at a sucker way pit around the street that was half way filled with water that must have made him to drown because he’s too small to swim. ” a source told our reporter.

 

His body has since be recovered for burial.
