Otukpo councilors-elect present COR to Benue Deputy Governor, Abounu

The newly elected Councillors of Otukpo Local Government Area has today, Sunday June 14th, 2020 presented their Certificate of Return to the Deputy Governor of Benue State, H. E Engr. Benson Abounu (Ogbobuluwa K’Idoma).

The lawmakers who had earlier presented the Certificates to their Chairman-elect, Rt. Hon. George Alli during their visit to the Benue no. 2 man thanked and commended Chief Abounu for his support during the recently conducted Local Government election in the state.

Engr. Abounu while reacting to the visit advised the grassroot legislators to see their new status as a God given opportunity and not be carried away by the intrigues.

In his words: “It is a good thing for you people to acknowledge your Leader. I want you all to know that it’s God that has given you this opportunity to serve at this level.

“For everything and level you get at every point in this life, just know that it is God given and He deserve the acknowledgement. Don’t at any point in your life use what God has blessed you with for abuses.

“As you’re going to the council, whenever the chairman does anything and you don’t understand, just call his attention immediately and make him see why reasons with you. Don’t go into unnecessary fights among yourselves for any reason. Always be united and speak with one voice.

“I pray you all succeed in Jesus name” He concluded.
